Getting more reviews, the right way
Google removes reviews that break its rules, so it pays to do this properly.
Ask everyone
Put the poster where every customer sees it, and send the message to all customers, not just the ones you think are happy.
No rewards, ever
No discounts, freebies or prize draws in exchange for reviews. Google doesn't allow it.
Invite, don't insist
Don't pressure customers to review on the spot, and don't tell them what to write. A friendly invitation is enough.
Put it where people pause
By the till, on tables, in the waiting area or on the door: anywhere people have a spare moment.
Test before you print
Scan the QR code with your own phone and check it opens your review page.
Reply to every review
Thank people for good reviews and respond calmly to bad ones. Future customers read the replies too.
